To be honest, I'm not sure if the jade was from Oman, but the necklace definitely was. When I was in Oman, I often popped into this lovely little art gallery near my apartment.
This lovely piece grabbed me, not only because of its beauty, not only because I'd never seen anything like it, but also because another New Zealand woman made it.
The necklace features a multi-faceted tear-drop pendant. The jade is a rich green with tiny flecks of black. The pendant hangs from a chain of cigar-shaped jade pieces with tiny pearls at the end of each section.
